When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

If you have not received help after three days, please post a link to your topic HERE.

Hello
I have had something hijacking my google browser for months now.
A while back when I started having problems, MBAM found something called Trojan.Fakealert and deleted it.
But after a while of thinking my computer was clean, I was being redirected again.
It seems like the redirects happen in bursts. For a while I will not be able to go to any links because of it.
THen it seems like it lays dormant maybe for weeks at a time. I eset online scanner, which identified several problems
and then fixed them all, but just like before, after a few days I was getting redirected again. Nothing I have can identify
any malware in my system, so I don't know what elso to do. I also checked to make sure my hosts file was clean. I deleted one extra entry
and since then nothing more has been written in it, but my problem persists.
In addition, I having major porblems with error reports, which make it hard to do anything. Examples are Google toolbar installer, windows installer, adobe flash helper
and other processes when I am on the internet or just running an application.
Please help get my computer back to normal. I'm running Windows Vista on an Hp.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
