When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

FakeAlert trojan blue screening my laptop and wont let me update mbam or spsw

hi my girlfiends laptop is currently being attacked by the trojan Fakalert..she had superantispyware and also malwarebytes but i cant update the virus defininitions in normal or safe mode..in normal mode the computer sends out error messages typical and when u click on them it blue screens..in safe mode i can get up both sasw and mbam but both cannot update..she has allot of uni work on this computer and doesnt want to lose it!!! help!!!

btw the laptop is running vista and windows service pack 2 ..this agrressive virus on normwal mode is closing every programme i am personally trying to open and an alert message is telling me it is infected..this includes basic windows progs such as windows firewall and windows defender
