File Too Deep File Too Deep message when trying to upload video

I am trying to upload an avi file from my video camera SD card to my hard drive. When it gets 50% downloaded, I get a message that "file is too deep". Is there anything I can do to get the video downloaded. When I download shorter video's I do not have this problem.
