BleepingComputer.com: Internet Explorer Errors

I am having the following errors over and over They appear as follows:

1. Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and need to close. (then gives me the error report choice)

When I say no error report then I get

2. Internet explorer has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close.
The following add on was running when this occurred
File: yiesrvc.dll
Company: Yahoo! Inc
Description: yahoo Services

Then I say ok to that and i get

3. IE explore.ese application error
The instruction @ "0X62308d19" references memory @ "0X014b2094". The memory could not be "read".

Then I say ok to that and get

4. IE explore.exe Application error
The instruction @ 0X7c9105f8" referenced memory @ "0X014b0010". The memory could not be "read"

Please let me know what to do.

When do you get the errors?
When you click on a link?
When you open IE?

What is your Operating System (XP Home, XP Pro, etc., ....)?
Have you installed any new hardware/software recently?

I think they get the error when they click on a link.

I have windows XP.

I dont think that there has been anything new recently

I am the member you spoke to in chat.

Raw suggested uninstalling Yahoo Messenger, rebooting, and checking to see if the problem still exists. I have a feeling that a dll is causing issues with something already running.

Also, please download Memtest86 and run it. It is a free program that checks your memory. The program will create a bootable diskette. Leave the disk in the drive and reboot your system. Run the memory tests and let us know what you find. The link is:

Don't forget... after the test is complete, remove the diskette from your floppy drive!
