Cannot back up hard drive to external Network Drive asks for User Name and Password and error

I am running Windows Vista.
I am using a 1TB Iomega Backup Network Drive.
I have tried using the Windows backup and restore program to backup my drive and get the following problem:

I then entered some password I found and get:
the system cannot find specified path 0x80070003

I have the same problem if I use the program it came with Retrospect.
This is driving me nuts. any help appreciated.
