I'm trying to find the link to download the latest version of Chrome that isn't beta.. In the past week my version of Chrome opens to the gmail site with a message that all of a sudden my internet is too slow but if I upgrade to the latest version of chrome everything will be fine.. I downloaded the latest version of chrome and it worked fine initially but the next day it said the same thing so I went against my better judgement (I've tried beta programs before and have decided I lack the patience to make them work) I got the beta version of Chrome and instantly I was able to see my gmail without a problem.. Trouble is the flash or shock player or whatever that never crashed before started to crash almost every time I used chrome which for me is most of the time.. I use chrome almost exclusively since firefox turned to bleep.. Anyway I run windows 7 home premium OS... Is there a non beta version of chrome?? My version is 8.0.552.237 and when I push the about link on the wrench it searches for the latest version and says that I have the latest.. How can I have the latest version and have the browser say to upgrade to the latest.. A conundrum... or a palindrome, I get those confused... Thanks for your help..

Uninstall Chrome and then re-download/install from here: http://www.google.com/chrome

Go to the site in IE or Firefox to download it.

I thought I did uninstall the browser before but this time I uninstalled the browser and let it take all the browser information to the point where reinstalling has meant starting from scratch.. In short I did what you said to do and it works fine, so thank you..
