When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Windows live oncare - virus?

So just the other day I started getting all these virus warnings from a program I didnt even download or buy, windows live onecare. I am also getting random popups in firefox. When I tried to remove and delete the onecare program, which i figured was causing all the programs it told me the uninstall file was corrupt and that I should run a scan. Windows security alert is saying my pc is infected. I tried to download the program designed to uninstall onecare but then it told me that file was corrupt also. This program keeps prompting me to run all these scans, and I feel it might be the root of my problem. Please help me!

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
