Help
So immediately I began AVG, Ad-aware and Malwarebytes, leaving the computer running until evening. No viruses were found. I wanted to be sure, so I downloaded spy-bot from cnet.com (the only place i will download a program unless it is directly from the manufacturer.
Several days later, I became determined to win a particular battle and found that castle age's "washing machine" animation telling the site was working, could be stopped sometimes, speeding the action, by clicking more often. My computer responded like lightning! I was so pleased at my purchase!
As the days went on though, the white screen popped up more often and the "hold" or "freeze" action would extend a little, until it was like a minute long. I started to tell friends in chat and they said there was a virus that was downloading with "gifts" from the other players.
All of the sudden, I started to receive emails saying I had been sending out links to porn sites. I checked in help and found that facebook had been compromised and searched until I found solution - remove my 2nd email account and change all my passwords, which I did immediately. I went online and wrote to everyone in all my email accounts that my Yahoo account had, plus sent emails to anyone else from other accounts just the same and asked everyone to write if they got an email from me that was only a link, not to open it. I also included the links (with the hyperlink removed in all but the one I sent to the FBI to report the culprits).
No problems for a few weeks, until I fought in one of the new battles called Army of Apocalypse and had to get it done very quickly, so I clicked rapidly and then suddenly, as I had experienced before, the white screen of death came and ate the computer. It remained for more than 10 minutes and I had to manually turn off the computer to restart it.
I thought I'd gotten the virus again, so I removed Firefox changed all my passwords and reloaded firefox again, adding google chrome. A couple days later white screen again, only this time it was moving between the MS Word 2010 I had bought and firefox. MS Word 2010 never worked again. I bought MS Word 2007 and returned word 2010. All worked great for a week or so then the white screen came back. Only I was in Word this time, having gotten an idea and was writing my thoughts on it.
First my cursor started to flash a couple of times, then the whole screen! It would flash between Firefox and Word, back and forth quickly. Now it has mutated I thought, so I manually shut it off and restarted, removed firefox, ran all the anti-virus programs and started to use google chrome. I wrote to Microsoft and was given address for MS Word 2007 again. I removed it and downloaded MS Word 2007 again. I added Safari, Chrome and Firefox, starting all three before a battle to try to see if I could switch between the programs to keep working on the same page using each of the browsers...Guess what happened again.
For the last few days we've had a competition called Arena. I am heavily invested to it and sitting in the top 2%. I do not wish to lose my placement, so I must find a sloution for this problem. It has already cost me money through favor point purchases.
To make up for the problems, I've had to sacrifice in order to win at great expense. I'd prefer to win without going broke, or having to lose sleep so I can participate more.
Any ideas on what I should do next???
