Greetings - I have Windows 7 Home Premium and use Internet Explorer. Lately, during use, it will all of a sudden "freeze" - a small rotating blue green circle appears that rotates clockwise, I can move the mouse around. I try to close the window - another window pops up saying IE is not responding. I close out of that, and I am able to open a new browsing session. Any ideas what could be causing this?

The rotating circle is indicating that it is waiting for the page to open.

Does this happen with any specific site/s?

What version of IE are you using?

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same problem?

Sounds like you may have a misbehaving add-on. Try resetting IE8 to factory settings.

1. Click the start button, type "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). hit enter
2. once IE opens, click "Tools" near the top right-hand corner of the page.
3. In the list that pops down, click "Internet Options".
4. Click the "Advanced" tab.
5. In the advanced tab click "Reset", and the "Reset" again in the next window that pops up.
6. Close Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), then try opening Internet Explorer as you usually would.
