Prior to this error beginning, I had a bout with a virus or two that I thought I had completely eradicated using Malwarebytes. Occassionally, I get redirected or pop up tabs to websites when using Firefox. I generally get these closed out before they have a chance to fully load. Perhaps there is still something lurking that av has been unable to clean out that is causing my current problem? Recent scans using Malwarebytes, Adaware, & AVG have turned up nothing.
I have noticed that my laptop has also been running slower than before the viruses and takes longer to start up. While this could be due to the av software that I have been adding and removing from my system, I would like to investigate and speed this up (maybe by removing some unnecessary start up programs) if possible.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
