My computer is having trouble recognizing a new CD/DVD drive. I've checked the IDE connections and the cable seems to be working. I've checked the BIOS and the drive doesn't appear under any profile. The other optical drive is recognized and shows up under the BIOS. I made a registry change based on the info provided here but it did not solve the problem.
Any ideas?

How do you have the jumpers configured?
Is this on the same IDE cable as the other optical drive?
Have you tried a different IDE cable?
