I am currently using Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. No problems with it so far. But on the protection settings they give you choices in the drop-drown menus:
1. a.Select action automatically
b.Block download
2. a.Select action automatically
b.Terminate malicious program
c.Quarantine
3. a.select action automatically
b.disinfect, delete if disinfection fails
Which of the options gives the most protection?

None of those really increase\decrease the amount of protection.
They are only choices for what is done when an infection\infected file is found.
As far as what to set them at. It is really up to the User (you). IMO. I would use it in the order you have listed. Block download being first. That, in theory offers the best protection option. Keeping the potential infection off a PC is the first line of defense.
