HP PSC 1410 all-in-one printer Printer works, scanner doesn't work

How do I get to a forum that shows help on the above topic. I tried to post something and couldn't find a link to send it. I'm just a 70 year old dummy trying to get my scanner to work after a virus wiped my hard drive out and I reloaded everything. The printer works well, but the printer scanner buttom doesn't work and I've spent at least 50 hours doing everying that HP told me to do. My xp HP Pavilion a1400e doesn't recognize the scanner anymore. It worked well for 3 or 4 years. Kenny
