It seems like my problem is a little different now. The computer hasn't been freezing much but there seems to be a problem after the initial boot up. The computer will crash with the blue screen a couple times, but once it restarts well it is stable for the rest of the day and night until I shut it down at night.

Now I am beginning to think that this caused by over heating.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

I just recently reinstalled my vista onto the computer from the factory partition. Do you think the malware could have got there or to my external harddrive? What do you recommend to look for malware? If it is a heating issue, why does it seem to crash more with startup only and be stable through the day?

What should I do? I think there is a problem with the startup. After starting up and making it through about 10 minutes it seems pretty stable. I actually left it on for 2 days and it didn't freeze or crash. But those first few minutes after startup seems to be where all the problems occur, lots of blue screens, and even difficulty starting up. I'm thinking about reinstalling vista again from scratch.
