hi all, i tried to install xp on my pc that runs 7ultimate but after formatting the hd and copying files on the restart the pc seems to forget what its doing and displays error loading os (or something along those lines) iv heard that xp cannot remove the boot sequence for 7 and thats the problem. any ideas of how to get round this? without using a different hd ofcourse.

Some Thoughts On Such...

The easiest solution, of course, would be to install XP first. The bootloader used by Vista/Win 7 makes the XP bootfiles useless and you cannot remove/change the Win 7 bootloader files from within XP.
