I found this site (unfortunately) AFTER spending a week getting rid of a really stubborn rootkit virus when I was searching the web trying to learn more about those kind of viruses and how to stop the little
Plus the people on this board seem to be a lot nicer tham some other computer forums I've read.

I found it when I "acquired" a nasty virus-- Windows PolicePro --after exterminating that pest with Bleepin's help I started exploring the other forums and I quickly discovered that my substantially LARGE lack of knowledge about the basic care, configuration, use and maintenance of computers could be immensely helped by sticking around and exploring a good computer users forum.
This one's (arguably) the BEST, IMHO.
As for my background, I'm an average user and until I contracted the above mentioned malware, my idea of computer maintenance and care was cleaning the OUTSIDE of the case & monitor LOL.
