Visual Studio Command Prompt access denied C++

I just started C++ programming and i am following this guide. When i start Visual Studio Command Prompt and i type in C:\...?cl -GX Sample.cpp it says "Access Denied". The file "Sample.cpp" is already created, so how do solve this so i can move on? I'm using this guide, the instructions is on chapter 1, page 11, compiling the program.

Considering that the book is 7 years old, are you sure that you are using the same version of Visual Studio that the author used? Other than that, find sample.cpp and delete it.

Really the book is 7 years old damn, i wasted 41 page printing 1 chapter, luckily i haven't purchased the book yet. The author is using the 2008 version whereas i'm using the 2010. Can give me a guide then?
