I am trying to load the updated version of Freeram PRO XP.... when I click on the .exe I am told that "The install FREERAM XP Pro 1.50 exe file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL:OPENTHREAD" Could someone plz interpret this error message for me and tell me how I might load 1.50. I like 1.40 because it works quickly and easily and keeps me buzzing right along on the net, 1.50 is supposed to be a major improvement..... I am using Windoze 98 SE with the appropriate updates applied; the website (www.yourwaresolutions.com) doesn't have a "Contact Us" page, it is under construction... the FAQ makes no reference to this problem.

Did you try exiting the program, uninstalling and then reinstalling?

Here are two alternative programs:

RAM Defrag 2.6

Fast Defrag Freeware

thanx for the reply...
yes... followed the procedures as specified in the software, no luck... still tells me my kernel32 is screwed-up.... wish these folks would open a contact, would rellay like to use their 1.50 version i really like the 1.40...
by the way, tried the download at http://www.brothersoft.com/Utilities_Misce..._17272.html--it didn't even allow me to set options and was very unstable... i have used the fast defrag before and didn't like it....

I'm having the same problem as Unitcharlie. I too have found other memory managers deficient. Has anyone further suggestions.?

IMO these types of programs are not necessary in XP and I would not use or recommend others to use them.
