First let me start by saying Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to Everyone
I was refrred to your site by a fellow IT Professional. He had good things to say about the site. Being a one man IT department, I'm always looking for a place to go if I get stumped on issues.

Happy holidays to you too!
my name's Ken, I'm a brand-new newbie. also referred by an IT guy at work.
I got a lot to learn, but this sounds like a great place to self-educate and interact. kudos to the folks who set this site up.
e.g. yesterday I started up my work computer in "safe mode" for the first time ever in order to get rid of this thing called "system tool 2011" which would not even let me access Task Manager or our MacAfee stuff.
I still don't know what "Safe mode" is, but the symptoms are gone, for now.
Honestly when I troubleshoot on my own I feel like I should be saying things like: "ugh! screen not look same, me not understand. Virus make Hulk mad!" and then of course: "Hulk Smash!"
