Seems like I have Smart HDD problem. I am running xp, sp 3. I've run Mbam and no luck. Trying spybot s&d right now. I am using safe mode with networking. Any ideas? Please and thanks.

SMART is a warning/detection system...designed to warn of impending hard drive failures.

Why did you post in Am I Infected?

If you have a malware problem...please, you need to provide more information in order that someone can try to assist.
