To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

My computer is infected with System Tool malware. I am following BleepingComputer.com's instructions for removal. I downloaded and installed Malwarebytes and started a full scan. Time elapsed is about 35 minutes but it is now frozen, not doing anything. It is displaying:

Currently scanning: C:\WINDOWS\system32\RTSndmgr.cpl

It is also saying there is 1 infected object.

My computer itself isn't frozen (I tested the num lock key).

Should I manually reboot and try the scan again, or is there some other step I should try first? I did run RKill first. I am running Windows XP.
