Hi there
Not sure if I've picked the right forum but here goes. Renewed and downloaded my AVG Internet Security product recently. All was well at first but now I am getting a persistent, frequent window popping up on my PC headed up 'xxxxx.exe - Bad Image' and containing the following: "C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AVGRSSTX.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error....". What is going on and how do I get rid of it? I searched for info. on-line but got conflicting views. Tried uninstalling and then reinstalling but this didn't work. I'd be grateful for any advice - the simpler the better as I am not very tech-literate.
regards

AVG has been a troublesome program for a while.
I suggest, you uninstall it completely, using AVG Remover: http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools and switch to some different product:
- Avast! free antivirus: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
- Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
