Unfortunately I have to say Good Day to you Gurus again.

Dell Vostro 200, Vista Home, Intel celeron 420@1.6GHz, 1 GB RAM

I know that this isn't by any stretch of the imagination a fast machine but I only use it for Email and Internet.

This morning it was working fine and then everything started to hang.
I have run Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, ATF, CCleaner and SuperAnti Spy. Nothing found.
I turned off the machine after using each of the above but it is still the same.

Your help would be appreciated.
George.

If it's only used for Internet capability...I would just do a clean install, after running the appropriate hard drive diagnostic to verify that there are no problems with the drive.
