When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello,

My apologies for posting this in more than one forum. I am new and posted this in other forum without any reply for several days. i also understand that the trained techniians are very busy. I just want to ensure I am following the proper protcol and posting my request in the appropriate space.

I've been using the free version of AVG. Today it expired and I got a virus that wouldn't allow me to open internet explorer or do a restore. I purchased AVG and put the license number in but the virus wouldn't allow me to run the AVG. I googled the problem and on the microsoft forum somebody had recommended for a similar problem that i download malwarebytes on another computer and copy it to my infected computer. I ran both AVG and malwarebytes in safe mode. AVG came up with nothing. Malwarebytes found two virus's. One Trojan.sasfix in the registry and one Trojan.fakealert in syssvc.exe. I rebooted the computer and still had the same problem. it wouldn't let me open internet explorer, pop up windows, asking me to buy a virus protection software and openning my browser to viagra.com and a porn site. Can't run AVG, malware or restore.

Please let me know what other information you might need to assist me and where to look for it, and what I need to do to clear the virus. i am grateful for your service.

Thank you. !
David
