Hi,

I am looking at creating a site similar to http://www.bidrivals.com/ just for a bit of fun, I haven't had a website to do for a while and figured this project should help refresh my skills.

I am kinda at a loss on where to start, obviously I am going to need to use a lot of javascript to pull this one off. Anyone mind pushing me in the right direction?

Sorry, I guess to start I want to know how they are able to dynamically get all the timers to countdown and update on all the other users screens when someone clicks "BID", I am guessing this is done with javascript/ajax? But where to start?

Its no way to tell you "where to start" other then get to know what features you want to include and then build a content management system, or find a CMS that will work the way you want. It's more to those then "javascript timers".
