My IT support person was able to boot the PC using a flash drive designed to ghost our work PC's to install Windows 7.
This was great as I was able to get all of my data transfered to my portable backup drive. I had hoped to use this limited operating system to run the recovery dvd's that I had created but when I try to run them....I get the message "the program cannot start beacuse LZ32.dll is missing -- try reinstaling the program to fix the problem.
Now I am thinking that the recovery disks don't allow you to boot from them....So I need to know how, if possible, to create a boot disk for XP tablet edition so I can run the recovery disks.
I may need to get a copy of XP and reinstall, but I am not sure about doing this if I can boot up the system. Is there a problem with installing xp rather than the xp tablet edition? I guess I won't be able to use the pen but I don't use the table features all that often.
Thanks in advace for any advice or help -- RR
