Do you have to press certain key like F12 to access the boot devices?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

Yes, it's F10 on this one... i've done it countless times over & still boots in hard drive mode.

Additonal Comments: while looking thru files, etc, i happened to notice under: Computer-AppData... a file named LocalLow. When i googled it came back as a virus...hmmmm, could this be causing probs? Also noted many file names which appeared odd to me? Also, ran "Microsoft Fix It" That scan indicated;
audio device disabled
windows audio or windows audio end point builder services
{one is these is not working}. But in Device Mgr & Sound Settings everything appears that it should be working. There's quite a few oddities, i.e. the recovery partion vanishing (which i found by digging around, don't know how to get it reinstalled. Could this be a Virus causing multiple issues? Just some thoughts i felt worthy to mention,

The flash Drive may work, but does your PC boot via USB?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

darn :( just figured that way you could whiz this out in no time...there's no info that would cause me concern 4 you to see. i've never used this flash drive so really don't know what i'm doing (its not even out of pkg). ok, so i just pop it into a usb port & go into bios? Then copy or move the CD file onto the flash drive?
