Just brain storming here, I'm getting bored with VB.NET and I have played around with ASP, PHP and HTML a fair bit which got me thinking. What would be involved with creating a script/webpage interpreter much similar to ASP/PHP or HTML? I'm interested in it being web based, realising it will have to be compiled in something like C or similar.
Any help would be appreciated, I've done some reading and most people suggest reading x book, mostly "The Dragon Books".

What do you mean by 'interpreter'? What do you want it to do once it is interpreted? Do you mean interpreter in the classic sense, like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpreter_%28computing%29

Yes, just like that. I basically want to recreate something like ASP or PHP, just for fun.
If I am helping you and don't reply in 24 hours please send me a PM
