I am sort of dumb on computers. I don’t understand the definition of social network. Can anyone give me an easy-to-understand definition of “social network” and tell me the distinction between “social network” and “ordinary network”? Thank you very much. Murrar

Under your definition of “social network” then why can’t you call e-mail or “instant messaging” communication a social network? Murrar

Social Network as i stated is more then one person connected and communicating

people communicate by many methods and can be connected by even more

Eg you are a member of you local football club this would then make the football club a social network. you are a member of a family this would be a social network.

If you are trying to define why face book is called a social network it is because you are a member of face book

The common factor of all 3 of these is you communicate with other people and share information which means it is a network

I don't know what he thinks "ordinary networks" is supposed to mean.
