Hi

A few days ago i started getting problems when trying to play online videos.

As soon as i click to play a video using IE8 the browser goes into the tab recovery loop and then usually freezes. (i tried running without add-ons but it doesn't make any difference)

If i try to watch a video on Firefox it just gives me the message "The Adobe flash plugin has crashed".

Also if i try to watch anything on BBC iplayer it just freezes.

I have run my anti-virus (Kaspersky 2011) and it has found nothing.

I also used various other things (superantispyware...CKscanner....malwarebytes anti-malware) to clean away unwanted things.

But the problem persists....

I have tried the Adobe forum but they were not able to help.

I currently run XP service pack 3....32bit.
Flash 10.1.102.64

Can anyone help?

This doesn't have to be a Malware infection Tommy.

It may sound silly, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player?
Also try to allow it through whatever security you have installed, AV and Firewall. It could be that flash is being blocked!

Some resources which may help you tackle this in Firefox HERE
HERE you'll find how to handle the same issue in IE8 as well.

Let me know if this has helped!

Yes i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player several times but nothing changed.
None of those pages you recommended were able to help either.

Thanks anyway.

When uninstalling Flash, did you use Adobe's Flash Player uninstaller?
Also, make sure all applications are closed, before running the uninstaller.
