That's because HJT is NOT a program that an individual should use without expert guidance. Don't you agree?

Bleeping Computer does not recommend anyone use the HijackThis program unless they are fully trained to do so.
HijackThis relies on experts to interpret the log entries and determine what needs to be fixed. Most of the log entries are required to run a computer and removing essential ones, can potentially cause serious damage to an OS.

Do you currently use Alzip, aommaster?

Could you provide a link?

Yes, I'm currently use it, and I doubt I'd ever switch to any other file extractor. Alan, above me posted the link for you smile.gif

I use AlZip also. It is a very popular program in Korea. I find it very easy to use to extract zip files and to zip files up. I never did figure out how to use 7-Zip. Important note: By default when creating a new folder, AlZip will automatically in most instances give the new folder a bird name whether actively running the program or not. It is possible to turn that feature off, but I like the bird names. smile.gif Users need to know this so they realize they don't have an infection when they suddenly see the bird name folders. There have been a handful of topics here by members concerned that they had an infection. In each case, they had AlZip. With AlZip, a zipped folder has an icon in the shape of an egg with feet.

I mentioned previously that I use BITMETER II to keep an eye on overall traffic thru' my router, but do we have an app which shows individual usage by appns, services or whatever?

I know I used to have one.

Cheers
