(Sorry if this is the incorrect forum, but I wasn't sure) So I've been having issues this week. Purchased Black Ops Sunday and installed it. When trying to start either single or multi-player, it glitched, stopped and gave me a Direct X error. I did some research on my own, and all roads led to re-installing DX9 (still running XP) So I removed DX, downloaded a new version from MS's site, but when I try to run the installation, I receive the following message:
the application or dll C:\windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.3053_x-ww_b80fa8ca\msvcr80.dll is not a valid windows image.
During this process I did discover my pc is not up to snuff to run black ops, however, now I just want to have an error free DX9 install. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
