When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

you didn't say anything about needing to press enter, so this is what i put in first. bash rst.sh -r117
but no report was made.

so i tried bash rst.sh -r [ENTER]
this time it asked for what number something-something-something.
and then I put in 117

when I tried to boot into winblows I got my blue friend back.

here's my log from the second try.
SOFTWARE hive restored from RP117
SYSTEM hive restored from RP117
SECURITY hive restored from RP117
SAM hive restored from RP117

This was the last thing we still could try. Unfortunately it did not work, which means we're bascially out of options.

The only thing I can recommend at this point, is backing up all important data using xPUD and reinstalling Windows.

I am sorry not to have been able to help you get this fixed.
regards, Elise

a fresh install is always nice, the computer runs so much faster afterward.
Thanks for the help.
