You may need another power supply.
My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

Is there a way to check the power supply before I invest in a new one?

The card you card requires a 300watt or minimum power supply.

You said that already, what I am asking is: What is the process, if any, to test my current power supply to see if it is the problem? I don't have extra cash sitting around to buy something if I don't actually need it.

Well your computer had no issues with the prior video card right, if that is the case, then your current issues stem from a power supply that isn't pushing enough power to your computer and the components.
My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

Well not really, my computer has had issues before, this one is just the most recent. I still need to know if there is a way to "test" the power supply to see if that is the problem. I need a definitive answer that this is the problem because I cannot afford to put money into this machine if it doesn't need it. I was recommended to "underclock" my GPU to see if that can solve the problem of instability and the dreaded BSOD. Could that be an option?

You can try under clocking it which will cause it to draw less power.

Ok, I'll try that. I got a program last night called "Afterburner" that someone recommended. How do I use it to underclock?

I will do that. I wanted to make sure that it would be possible to use it to fix the problem. If I use it to draw less power, would that be a definitive result pointing to the power supply? I really need to make sure that is the problem before I do anything to replace it. Are there any other options like testing with a volt meter or something like that?
