When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hi, I am trying to remove the "Win 7 Antispyware 2011" virus following your instructions from your website (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-win-7-antispyware-2011). I am on step 3 to run the rkill.com file, I ran that file and it killed the pop up windows, but it didn't finish and close completely. I have one remaining notepad window called "rkill notepad" which states "completed" at the bottom and shows time and date. I also have a window that popped up and says "McAfee has detected a potentially unauthorized registry change to your computer. System gaurds: Internet explorer restrictions location: c:\users\jeff\appdata\local\temp\58d.tmp\pev.rkexe". "What would you like to do?" The default drop down states "Allow this change". Should I allow this ? In your removal intructions you do not mention to disable any current running antivirus programs. Should I have disabled prior to step 3 ? My operating system is Windows 7. Please help, my computer has been down since Sunday. Thank you...
