When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I'm typing this from my iPod since my school laptop went crazy...

AVG gave me slot of warnings about explorer.exe and winlogon.exe As well as an obviously fake window called "Windows Security Essentials Alert". I looked it up on this site and followed all the steps. Rkill got rid of that window but AVG would pop up every few seconds with more warnings. I installed and ran MBAM and it found around 70 infected objects and said I needed to restart. I restarted and when It was booting up, I got a blue booting error that said I might have a virus. After a few tries, it booted up but there are no icons or start menu bar. From what I've read, it's an issue with explorer.exe but I don't know what to try from there. In the meantime, I'm running MBAM again, but so far it hasn't found anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Ryan

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
