Adobe Acrobat

For some strange reason I cant install Acrobat on my computer,I can download the software and it gets about 90% complete and then I get an error message saying cannot finish installation.I have tried many times with the same result.I have Xp pro.

IMO...that's a common problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader...it's why I switched to a different program for that function a few years ago.

If you are talking about Acrobat, not Reader...I don't know anything about that, but since it's Adobe software, I would not be surprised if similar problems are exhibited in all Adobe programs.

What are the alternative programs to Adobe reader and acrobat??

One of the best is Foxit Reader. And it's free.

Ok I got Foxit,but my pc will not open pdf files.Adobe will not work and cant install new version because of error msg.

have you tried installing it with your antivirus turned off?

Just a note...do not elect the default install for Foxit, use the custom install...otherwise, you wind up installing the Ask toolbar, etc. on your system...which is not recommended. Elect the cusom install and elect not to install the toolbar.
