Hi all,
This is my first post in this forum and I hope it would be useful for you. I know how hard it is to find a good guide with pictures about laptop disassembly, so I decided to create it myself. My instructions will help you to disassemble, dismantle, repair, upgrade or clean you laptop. I already created teardown guides with pictures for the following models:
Toshiba Satellite 1415
Toshiba Satellite 1800
Toshiba Satellite 1805
Toshiba Satellite 2435
Toshiba Satellite M35X
Toshiba Satellite A60/A65
Toshiba Satellite A70/A75
Toshiba Satellite P25
Toshiba Tecra A1
Toshiba Tecra TE2100
Toshiba Tecra 9100
Toshiba Portege 4010
and more…..

I plan to continue creating new disassembly guides. Stay tuned.

You can find it here: Toshiba laptop and notebook repair and disassembly guides with pictures. Toshiba laptop support.

*bows in reverence*

Who ho! I need this!!! I have been having MAJOR problems with my Toshiba, and if the warrenty doesn't cover certain things, I may very well have to do this.

BTW - Is there a way a to take apart the screen itself? There is a hair underneath the screen, and I would really like to get it out. I have the Satellite A65 model. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the links. I found out that the 2545 is almost identical to mine, so I'll look into that more. There's also a lot of links to laptops like my mom's, in case I need to take it apart. Thanks again.

I know there's a way to get to the screen in some of the tutorials. As for getting the hair out, I'd try a burst of compressed air, if you can find a gap to get the air into. I've never looked at a laptop screen without the casing on, but if the hair got in, it should be able to come out.

Hi I have a Toshiba Satelitte 1800.

It only has a DVD-ROM drive, and I was wondering if I could upgrade it to DVD-REWRITER?

I have looked briefly at your guides, would I have to do all steps upto 9 to get out the DVD-ROM drive?

where could I get a DVD-REWRITER that would fit in my Satelitte 1800 from? I live in UK?

thanks
Andy
