So I finally got a virus, and had a shop remove it. They had to completly remove everything and re-installed my OS= Windows xp. Now I'm trying to install my HP C6180 All in one printer using the disc that came with it. However, I am now getting a window: Microsoft .Net Framework with message that "an unhandled exception has occured... that seems to relate to something called "photo gallery" and a second window that shows this is trying to install but cannot! It's frustrating because I cannot close this window to proceed. Any help would be great. I'm pulling my hair out!

Lets try this.
First unplug the printer from your PC.
Uninstall all HP printer related software.
Visit the Windows update site for all critical updates as well as any related to .Net Framework.
Restart the PC.
I would then visit the HP Support & Drivers site and d\l the latest package available for that printer and your operating system.
Before plugging the printer into the PC try to install the newly d\l`d package.
If all goes well it will prompt you when to plug the powered on printer into your machine.
Let us know if it works this time.
