I upgraded from Office 97 to Office XP; the "recently used file" list on the Options page is grayed out. There is no longer a list of recent files under File on the menu bar. Can this feature be restored/activated?

It has been suggested to configure a system policy but I believe that is a WinXP feature. I am running Win ME.

Hi Pogo

Take a look at these Microsoft items.

"Recently used file list" option is unavailable

The Tweak UI advice worked just fine. I thank you for your help.
