BleepingComputer.com: Looking for a program that can determine if a registry hive is corrupt

I have an oddball problem. We cloned a client's bad hard drive to a fresh hard drive, but some of the files were corrupted - including the registry, and many of the registry backups. Unfortunately, to do a repair install Windows needs the registry hives to be intact, or it won't give you the repair option.

For this system I've been using UBCD4Win - I've been manually loading each hive from the system volume information backups. The software I've been using will either show some registry entries (if it's at least somewhat good) or show no entries or crash if the hive is bad. This is an incredibly slow process.

Does anyone know a command line program that, given the path to a specific registry hive, can determine if the hive is intact or corrupt? I would like to automate this for the future.
