I am doing some research and would like to know consumer opinions. Which is the better software, Symantec Endpoint Protection or McAfee Total Protection? Please share your experiences or troubles. For example, Which one has better detection accuracy and reporting? Which is the better deal as far as budget is concerned? Which has good customer support? Which has better enforcement capabilities? etc.......

They are both so heavily bloated that they kill system performance. I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. I had been using McAfee, but their most latest version required up to 18 processes to be ran. I removed it, and went with MSE now I just have 2 processes running for anti-virus.
My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

He is looking for a business class AV solution.
I can't answer for pricing, but two other companies you should evaluate are Kaspersky and Eset. Both have excellent detection.
