"There is an IP conflict with another system on the network."
Am I being hijacked? Is this a problem? Something that I need to
address?
Thanks,
IJ

Need some more info.
How many computers are on your network? What operating systems are they. How are they connected. Wired, wireless, both?

On the wireless machines have you enabled\set-up WPA? An explanation of WPA. If you have then we can move on to the next step. If not then I recommend that you do using the documentation received with the wireless device they connect to.
Are you in an environment where other people\neighbors may be close enough to pick-up your wireless signal. Apartment, small residential lots, etc?

Another machine is using the same ip address as yours. Maybe it's using static address. You need to find the machine out.

I suggest you use mac address filtering, since you only have 2 computers that use your connetion.
