AD-HOC networking

I need help.Somebody messed with my computer and now my wireless ad-hoc network is down.My network runs from wired to my netbook,then my netbook validates the connection(with my log in information),then i share the connection using ICS,then my ad-hoc network is suppose to share the connection with my laptop.but my laptop says server could not be found.so i have made a new ad hoc network and im still getting the server could not be found.
