I had a look at the link posted re the 80GB Fujitsu, and its the same price as the samsung, also, as another poster mentioned, has to be PATA.

Hi, I thought I would give you all an update, the Samsung HM160HC HDD arrived today and I have finished installing windows XP SP3 without issues. The computer recognises 149GB of capacity, so Im a happy chappy.

Id like to thank all who contributed and helped sort out my issues.

Im glad it worked well. Sometimes the manufactures make it so it can recognize more but dont list it in the specs because there isnt a hard drive that large at the time of manufacture or they haven't tested it, and sometimes quirks happen, glad it worked great for you and recognized the full hard drive (that missing 10 gigs is normal blame microsoft for that)
