I've reinstalled windows - Now how do I make a connection to my internet. I thought since I use a cable plugged to a router it would just work but I guess not. Does anyone know exactly what I can do to connect to my network. I guess I will have to type the user name and pass in but where?

Have you checked if drivers for your network card are installed in Windows?

Choose Start Menu -> Run, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. In the Device Manager, window expand the category Network adapters. What do you see? If you no device listed, then its time to install drivers.

EDIT: Well, DaChew was quicker and better.
