I am going to try the other two and get back with you....
Ok I tried the second one and it's not what I want. I am scared to try the last one because I can't get rid of the start up control panel, please help me delete that there is no add/remove item for it and can't find any files for it on c drive unless I over looked...

Simply delete the file, if you don't like the program.
What's wrong with it, btw?

To backup your registry, create a System Restore point. Alternatively, you can use the free utility ERUNT to create backups of your registry: http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/
For more information about modifying the registry, see this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/256986
