Hi guys, am cracking up here.
I tried to log onto www.gmail.com and got the MSN response saying the page could not be found, which i thought was a little weird. I tried locating it through the various search engines, but then am getting the " page cannot be displayed " error page. This only started today. I've tried to reset my web settings on the browser and folowed all the recommended steps for when this page is displayed and still no luck.
I thought it may have just been a problem with the gmail page, but then got the same problem while trying to log into a certain section of yahoo where a user name and password is requested. I cant figure out what might be causing this.
Thanking you in advance for your help

carnivalofsorts,
From the initial information you have supplied it appears that you are unable to connect to "secure" web sites. Meaning that the url starts with https: as opposed to just plain http:
There are two recent threads addressing just that issue. One here, and one here too. Take a look at those trouble shooting tips and see if they help. If not please post back and let us know. Well, on second thought post back and let us know either way.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.

This can also be caused by spyware although that's more recently I believe. If the URL changes to something like ‘http:///?%20www.gmail.com’ then it could well be spyware.
