Personally I loved the old forum. Although this forum is clean looking, for some reason I always like forums a lot more when they're extremely basic and straight forward.

Just my two cents.

There used to be a link in the upper right corner so I could check if any thread I had posted in had an update. I don't see that now. Does IPB have that option?

It looks more 'exciting', but in a way that could well send an epileptic into a fit.

On the upper right hand corner of the page, click the drop down arrow next to your name.

There you will see links to your profile and settings.

I don't know why they changed it. The other one was easier and quicker to look for stuff.

The forum software was in dire need of an update. We were using an ancient, creaky version of IPB. Now we have the latest version.

I really like the new software update! It had to be implemented though because of as said the old one Was OLD. If you go up to your user name and click it then click my content it will bring you to something like what my topics used to be.

I'm sure a skin can be made to look like the old forum but that would take some time. Although it would have been nice to give us a warning that it was gonna be updated! :flowers: Also someone should disable the ability for regular members to post HTML in posts as I remember that that was a security issue. :trumpet:

eh, call me old fashioned, and while we did need the upgrade, I liked the old board better-I thought it was easier to differentiate between new topics and pinned ones, and I liked the color scheme better. But, I imagine I will adjust. :D

I keep stubbing my toe. Kind of like when the wife moves the furniture around, does`t tell you and all the lights are out when you get home.

Its going to take a little getting used to. But as long as its the same bunch of helpful folks we'll do just fine. Its the people who make up BC that make it so special.

JonM33, are you referring to the former "My Topics" list or the listing of subscribed topics. To get to the latter, takes a bit of a long path.

mpankey1,

Click on your Member Name to get the drop down list, click on My Settings.

In the window that opens called "My Options", click on the tab that says "Forums". On the left hand side, you'll see Board Preferences. Under that you will find "Manage Watched Topics." Click on that, and you will find the list of subscribed topics.

EDIT TO ADD: SEE POST #29 for an easier way to find your subscribed topics.
