Suggestion about the notification mails!!

I just want to bring up one useful suggestion regarding notification mails. It would be useful if topic title be included in the subject of the notification mail for any topic. This way it is useful for us to filter the mail.

The topic title is included in the notification.

My bad. It is included in the body of the post. Not the subject.

We have no plans on changing this as it would cause the subject line to be way too long.

You can include at least first 4-5 words of the topic in the notification mail if not the whole topic so that it would be convenient for the users of the forum to sift through the mails and by using this solution, subject lines would not be too long.

Please let me know your take on this.

Unfortunately we are not going to make that change as it would require modification to the forum software, which I only do out of necessity these days.

For the record, with the forum upgrade, notifications now show name of responder and at least part of the topic title. It no longer says "Topic Subscription Reply Notification."
